Notices for Sunday, 3rd April 2022

  • Post category:Notices
  • Next Sunday 10th April is Passion Sunday. Palms will be blessed and distributed at every weekend Mass. The Palm Sunday Procession will begin at 9.00 am from the School Assembly Hall and proceed to the Church. We look forward to the commemoration of the Lord’s Passion, Death and Resurrection: the core of our faith.
  • The 4 Wednesday Lenten Reflection Sessions are available on the St. Peter’s YouTube Channel and we request every parishioner to watch them.
  • The YSS invites you to a Blood Donation Drive this Sunday 3rd April, at the Loyola Hall, from 8.00 am to 12 noon, for Holy Family Hospital. Be generous! It may save a life.
  • The YSS has also opened a newly renewed Library for all in the Bandra Parishes to borrow good books and also a Recreation Centre for Youth. Do visit.
  • The Parish Prayer Group Keys of the Kingdom invites you to an hour and a half of Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, with a Repentance and Healing Service led by Anthony and Christina Lobo, in the Loyola Hall from 7.30 pm this Monday 4th April.
  • The Children’s Mass will be discontinued after this Sunday’s Eucharist as the Jesus Club will close for School exams and holidays. The Children’s Mass and classes will resume from 19th June.
  • The Jesuits at Vinayalaya Retreat House, Andheri East will conduct a Holy Week Retreat from Wed 13th April 7 pm – Sat 16th April 4 pm.  The Retreat will include Inputs, Silence, Liturgies and the Holy Week Services. See the Notice Board or write to vinayrethouse@gmail.com
  • With the relaxation in numbers for public events, we request you to sit three per bench and with masks firmly worn to cover mouth and nose. This is from a Government advisory.
  • The Questionnaire of the Parish on participating in the Synod on Synodality has received an excellent response from those who frequent our Church. The responses have been collated by a team of parishioners. We have a good consensus on many points: for instance almost 100% respondents fully supported the Church’s moral teaching that abortion is murder and hence not acceptable. We have many points in which further discernment is required and this will be done by the Parish Council and also sent to the Community clusters for further prayer and discernment. Thank you for your participation.
