Our Lady of Fatima (J.D. Alves / Elco Arcade)

A brand new community formed in June 2026 by the merging of Our Lady of the Wayside & Mary of Nazareth Zones.
*Madonna Della Strada*, Italian for Our Lady of the Wayside or Lady of the Road, is the name of a late 15th/16th century image of the Blessed Virgin Mary enshrined in the Church of the Gesù in Rome. Devotion to _Our Lady of the Wayside_ is closely linked to St. Ignatius of Loyola.
The community originally consisted of 50 families from J.D. Alves, Gonidhi and nearby buildings. Though we have many senior citizens and middle-aged members, we are a dynamic community.
The seniors are actively involved in Church activities and other associations in the parish.
The Mary of Nazareth Zone was named after the humble home where Mary said “Yes” to God. True to its name, our zone was known for its quiet faith, strong family spirit, and neighbourly care.
Made up of families from Elco Arcade and nearby buildings, the zone brought together people of all ages who supported parish activities, prayer meetings, and outreach.
In June 2026, this zone joyfully merged with the Our Lady of the Wayside zone to form the *Our Lady of Fatima Community*. While the name has changed, the spirit of Mary of Nazareth — simplicity, service, and trust in God — continues to live on in our 50 Family community.
This newly merged zone is now 100 families strong.
Our Lady of Fatima is a Catholic title of Mary, Mother of Jesus, based on the Marian apparitions reported in 1917 by three children at the Cova da Iria in Fatima, Portugal.
Fatima reminds us that the peace of the world begins with the peace of one’s heart. Peace begins when we choose patience with our families, co-workers, and community members.
Our Lady of Fatima, guide our merged zones to do much for our Parish and the community._
