The Confraternity of St. Peter’s Church was constituted in June 1923 for the original fishermen parishioners of the Parish.

The main objects of the Confraternity are:

1. The realization of an exemplary and zealous Christian life in its members.

2. The fostering of a greater union and true Christian brotherhood in the community.

3. The financial support of the Parish Church in time of need and according to the means of the members.

The Confraternity has about 65 members who are dedicated and devoted to carry out the main objectives of the Confraternity as well as to help the needy of the community.

Activities:

In keeping alive the East Indian Traditions of the Community, the Confraternity celebrates papa-liturgical services like the Passo during Lent, the Blessing and Distribution of Bread on Maundy Thursday, the singing of the Veronica hymn, the bringing down of Jesus from the Cross on Good Friday and its veneration etc.
