We give thanks to God for the Ordination to the Priesthood of Jesuit Fr. Praful Ekka, in St. Peter’s Church, this Saturday, by Cardinal Oswald Gracias. Fr. Praful is the first indigenous person from Chhattisgarh to be ordained for the Bombay Province of the Society of Jesus. We pray for his ministry among the youth and the disadvantaged. We are grateful to Cardinal Oswald and his Assistant, Fr. K.T. Emmanuel, for coming all the way to Bandra for this celebration. Fr. Praful Ekka’s First Mass as Main Celebrant at the Eucharist will be live streamed on Sunday 25th July at 9.00 am, in Hindi.
This Sunday 25th July, we celebrate Parents and Grandparents Day and the Jesus Club invites you to the Children’s Mass at 8.00 am, followed by a Web program entitled, “The Colourful Shades of Parenting”, from 9 am to 10 am. It’s a lively programme which you should not miss. Log on to the link displayed on our Parish Website Homepage.
In preparation for the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, we bring you a Triduum of reflections after the evening Mass, from 7.40 pm to 8.15 pm, online: on Wednesday 28th you will hear the voice of Fr. Stan Swamy, telling us of his mission and motivation as a Jesuit, with commentary by Fr. Frazer. On Thursday 29th, Fr. Assis Rodrigues will speak on Ignatian Spirituality. On Friday 30th, Fr. Luke Rodrigues will tell us of the process of transformation in the life of Ignatius. The Jesuits are especially grateful for the 500th Anniversary this year of the Cannonball experience that changed the life of Inigo and had a profound influence on the world. We invite you to join us in reflection and thanksgiving.
We wish all the grandparents and senior citizens of our Parish a very Happy Grandparents’ day. You are precious to us and we are glad we have you with us! May God give you a strong sense of fulfillment in knowing you are loved and appreciated!
