Next Sunday 20th Nov is the Feast of Christ the King – the grand Finale of the Liturgical Year! We welcome you to join processions with the Blessed Sacrament from your area to the Church campus, to reach in time for the Benediction on the School Grounds at 6.00 pm. Processions will begin from Kyani Hotel via Bazaar Road, from St. Martin’s Road via Almeida Park and from Somnath Lane via Waroda Road. Please note that the Sunday evening Mass of 5.00 pm in Konkani and the 6.00 pm Mass in English, will stand cancelled for this day.
We will also have half hour Adoration Sessions before the Blessed Sacrament from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm for the different zonal communities in a schedule to be circulated.
This weekend, the Sisters from Roha will have a sale in St. Peter’s Square after every Mass, of food and other products made by the Adivasis of their area, in the effort to generate sustainable livelihoods. Our Parish will also put up White Elephant Stalls, for the sale of items in good condition, with a heavily discounted price, the proceeds of which will go to the Missions. Please patronize.
The Jesuits of Ashagad and their tribal communities, thank you for your generosity. They have received Rs 14 lakhs so far. The target was Rs 20 Lakhs for specific needs. Contributions can still be submitted at the Parish Reception or put into the Church Community Fund boxes clearly marked for Ashagad.
The Social Outreach Cell is celebrating Children’s Day this Sunday, for the Differently Abled children they work with.
This week we have several Jesuit saints commemorated: St. John Pignatelli on Monday and Saints Roch Gonzalez and Companions on Wednesday. And on Friday we have a remembrance of the Dedication of the Basilicas of St. Peter and Paul, and that of our own Church.
