  • The Bombay Jesuits are happy to announce that on the 3rd of July, Fr. Anil Pereira will take over as Provincial of our Province. He is known to many of you, as he served in this Parish during his Diaconate and after his Ordination in 2008. He has been a Jesuit formator for several years and has just been relieved as Novice Master of our Novitiate in Belgaum. At 45 years, he is one of our youngest Provincials in recent times. He has specialized in Ignatian Spirituality and is fluent in Marathi, English and Spanish. We pray for the gifts of discernment and courage as he leads us in the years ahead. We also thank God for our outgoing Provincial Fr. Arun de Souza and pray for his ministry ahead.
  • The Bombay Catholic Sabha and St. Peter’s invites you this Tue 5th July to a Symposium on, “Remembering the Tribal Rights’ Activist, Fr. Stan Swamy and his message for us all”, in the Loyola Hall at 6.00 pm on his first death anniversary. We have many reasons to remember Fr. Stan.
  • The Confraternity celebrates its Feast at the 9.00 am Mass on Sunday 3rd July, with a live Band procession and fellowship in the Holy Cross Room. From 10.45 am the Band will entertain in the School Assembly Hall, with a food stall available. Welcome to the Feast!
  • School children who have received First Holy Communion are invited to join the Altar Servers’ Group which meets every Sat at 4 pm.
  • The St. Peter’s Health Cell is open every weekday evening. Please check the notice board for the specialist doctors attending. We also need volunteers to assist the doctors for an hour or two on any day from 5.00 to 7.00 pm. Please approach the Clinic if you are able to help.
  • Fr. Fio Mascarenhas SJ and the Retreat House, Bandra, are organising a 2-week residential Bible course from 11-23 July, which will cover important OT books and all the books of the NT. The total cost is Rs 10,000/- and subsidies are possible for parishioners.
  • The Archdiocese invites you to a Course in Biomedical Ethics, which begins from 10th July. A one-year basic course in Inter-Religious Dialogue for Catholic Adults begins on 24th July at the Goregaon Seminary. Please enquire at the Parish Office.
  • Catholic students aspiring for a career in the Media can apply for scholarships at St. Paul’s Institute of Communications for post-grad courses. Check the Notice board.
  • Practices for the St. Andrew’s All Bandra Zonals to be held in Aug and Sept, have begun at St. Peter’s. We invite participants from our Parish for the Singing, Instrumental, Dance, Elocution, Choir and Drama events. Please register online at the St. Andrews Zonal website.
  • Next Sat 9th July we remember Christians being persecuted in China, on the feast of the Saint Leo Mangin, a French Jesuit who worked in China and was martyred with several other Christians in 1900, by a secret Chinese society called the Boxers.
