- Lent is a special time of grace for every Christian – we are encouraged to ensure a daily time of personal prayer, with Lenten practices like Abstinence from meat and fish on Fridays. Your generosity to the causes of the poor will also be blest abundantly and may we find creative ways of working for justice in the world.
- Stations of the Cross are being held on Thursdays at 6.15 pm in Konkani and on Fridays at 7.30 pm In English. On Fridays there will also be Stations of the Cross in Hindi, in the Loyola Hall at 6.00 pm especially for our adivasi sisters and brothers.
- For the period of Lent, the Parish will continue with the weekend evening Mass at 7.00 pm: Monday to Friday. This Friday 3rd of March, being First Friday, there will be the special Mass at 6.00 pm followed by a short adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.
- The Parish Bookstore has 3 new publications at hugely discounted rates, which you can fruitfully read during Lent: Fr. Dudley’s workbook on Psycho-spiritual Healing, Fr. Fio and Dr. Renu’s book on, “The Eucharist and Personal Prayer” and a Special Way of the Cross for Single Women.
- St. Stanislaus High School, entering its 160th year of educational excellence, is planning many events for which gifts and prizes are needed. If you have any unused items which you are willing to contribute, please bring them to the Parish Office during Office hours. They should not be gift wrapped.
- The Kanara Catholic Association is hosting an event for Christian Singles between 20 and 45 years on 16 April. Please see the Notice board.
- This Saturday, the Parish will host a White Elephant Sale on St. Peter’s Square, from 5.00 pm to 8.30 pm. The Salesian Sisters will also hold a sale of their products.
