On the occasion of World Marriage Day this Sunday, there will be a special Liturgy at the 6.00 pm Mass for all married couples, following which the SPY will organize a Celebration in St. Peter’s Square, including dinner. Couples, widows and widowers are requested to register at the Parish Reception.
This Wednesday 22nd Feb is Ash Wednesday. There will be the distribution of Ashes at all the Masses, including two special evening Masses at 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm. Lent is a special time of grace for every Christian – we are encouraged to ensure a daily time of personal prayer, with Lenten practices like Abstinence from meat and fish on Fridays. Your generosity to the causes of the poor will also be blest abundantly.
We will begin our series of the Stations of the Cross after the evening Mass. The Stations of the Cross will begin this Friday at 7.30 pm.
The Parish has decided to revert to the earlier timing of 7.15 pm for the weekday evening Mass: Monday to Friday. This will enable the resumption of the Holy Half Hour on First Fridays, from 6.30 to 7.00 pm. Please note that the Evening Mass will be at 7.15 pm, starting from Monday, the 27th of February.
There will be Housie for Senior Citizens on Thursday 23rd Feb at 5.30 pm in Our Lady’s Room.
Next Saturday 25th Feb, the Parish will host a White Elephant Sale on St. Peter’s Square, from 5.00 pm to 8.30 pm, the proceeds of which will go to charity.
St. Stanislaus High School, entering its 160th year of educational excellence, is planning many events for which gifts and prizes are needed.
