This Sunday 10th April is Passion Sunday.Palms are being blessed and distributed at every weekend Mass. The Palm Sunday Procession will begin at 9.00 am from the School Assembly Hall and proceed to the Church. The other weekend Palm Sunday Masses will be as usual. The Veronica Service will be on the SSC School Ground at 7.15 pm.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available on Mon 11, Tue 12 and Wed 13, from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm in the Assembly Hall.
On Maundy Thursday 14th April, the Blessing of Bread will be in the Loyola Hall at 12.30 after noon.
The Sacred Triduum Services will be open air on the International School Ground and will also be live streamed. There is no restriction on numbers for any of the Triduum events but the wearing of masks is mandatory on campus.
On Maundy Thursday, 14th April, the Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be at 7.00 pm. “Watching with the Lord” a Holy Hour will held in Church from 10 to 11 pm the same day.
On Good Friday, the Stations of the Cross in the Church will be at 8.45 am for children and youth and at 10.00 am for adults – both conducted by SPY. The Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion will be at 6.00 pm on the School Ground, followed by the Veneration of Christ’s Body.
On Holy Saturday, 16 April, the Sisters of St. Joseph will conduct a half hour programme on the Sorrows of our Lady, at 7.30 am in the Church.
The Easter Vigil Liturgy on Sat 16, will begin at 9.00 pm, on the School Ground. Easter Sunday Masses will be as usual. A special Mass in Hindi will be celebrated on the SSC School Ground for our adivasi parishioners at 4.00 pm on Easter Sunday.
Masses in each Zonal Community will be scheduled during the Easter Week. Please check with your Animators.
The YSS is grateful for a good response to its Blood Donation Drive at which 29 people donated, while 5 were declined for health reasons.
The Jesuits at Vinayalaya Retreat House, Andheri East will conduct a Holy Week Retreat from Wed 13th April 7 pm – Sat 16th April 4 pm. The Retreat will include the Holy Week Services. See the Notice Board or write to vinayrethouse@gmail.com
The YSS will organize a Girls’ and Ladies’ Volleyball Tournament from 22nd to 24th April, and a Men’s Volleyball Tournament from 29th April to 1st May. The 50th School Children’s Summer Holiday Club will be in the month of May. Registration for these 3 events is invited at the YSS.
The BCS of St. Theresa’s is holding an event titled, “Love is in the Air” for Catholic singles on the 24th of April.
The Navjeet Community Centre of Holy Family Hospital will present an evening of music and dance, to raise funds. See the Notice Board.
