LEGION OF MARY
SOLDIERS OF MARY
BATTLING FOR CHRIST
Come join us to be soldiers for Mary in a Spiritual battle for Christ.
You can grow in your Spiritual life by coming closer to Jesus through Mary our Mother.
We welcome you to one of our Legion of Mary meetings as a guest.
This association of the Catholic Church is one of the largest Apostolic participations of the Laity. It has been active since 1964.
The purpose and driving force is to give glory to God through the sanctifications of its members and the faithful.
Our Apostolate consists of co-operating with the Holy Spirit through a balance of prayer and service.
We also do home visits within the Parish by visiting the Sick, the Housebound, Infirmaries, Hospitals.
Through Evangelization, we promote the devotion by praying the Rosary daily. Being an Auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary, by praying the Tesera which consists of the Magnificat and Intercessory Prayer. We also promote the Enthronement of the Home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
We are also encouraged to visit families of other Faith and speak to them about Jesus and Mary which is done at Mount Mary during the Feast Octave & offer prayers and leaflets.
The essence of a Legionary is to reach out to the families and bring people back to the Church and give them a listening ear; and go where the Priests cannot visit often.
History of the Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary was founded by Frank Duff on 7th September 1921, whose cause for beatification is being prayed for by all Legionaries.

The Legion of Mary is thriving in many parts of India and the world with millions of members. In pockets of Mumbai, the Auxiliary praying members are also prayer warriors for the Legion of Mary.
