Multi Faith Committee
The Multi Faith Committee of St. Peter’s Parish was formed in 2017 to build sensitivity to and bonds with people of all faiths in the Parish area.
The Committee members practice different faiths; namely Hinduism, Islam, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism and Jainism.
Activities include the following:
- Visit to the Shrines of different faiths within the Parish area to understand the practices, concepts, symbols and core beliefs of each religion.
- Joint celebration of religious festivals and traditions such as Navratri, Eid-ul-Fitr, Easter and Christmas where the common beliefs and traditional culture are accentuated.
- Community programmes such as blood donation, civic issues and seminars on our Indian Constitution whereby all communities work together for the success of the events.
- Inter faith celebration of Secular events like Republic Day, Independence Day, Labour Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day etc.
